Those who rocked, we salute you! We hit The Octagon in Sheffield with an incredible show - over two hundred singers, a live rock band, a full light show, and a sell-out audience. "BeVox Rocks" was our biggest, most flamboyant show to date. We were thrilled to be fulfilling an ambition we'd held since the choir was formed - performing with a live rock band. We worked with the talented people at Sound & Light UK, who helped us produce our highly memorable A Circle of Life event in 2013, who once again delivered an incredible light show. Coupled with an energetic but diverse programme, and with over 200 people on stage - this was truly a night to remember.
The programme featured songs by some of the biggest rock acts of the last forty years - Queen, Meatloaf, Bon Jovi, Oasis - as well as more pop-oriented acts like Gary Barlow, Cyndi Lauper and Madness. We revived our crowd-pleasing Beach Boys Medley, and we closed the show with a celebration of Stadium Rock that had the audience dancing in the aisles.
Some great photos were taken by the husband of one of our singers, who has shared them (along with some others of us performing elsewhere) on Flickr here. The photos from our official photographer will be shared on our Flickr photostream very soon.
Audience members also filmed some of the songs, which you can see on our YouTube channel here.
