Seasons and sessions

We run two seasons every year:

  • Spring (18 sessions, February to June, performances in June and July)

  • Autumn (12 sessions, September to November, performances in late November and December)

In the Spring season, there are 18 standard weekly sessions, and in the Autumn season, there are 12. We don't take a break for half-term, but we do break for two weeks over Easter.

All standard in-person sessions run from 7pm to 9pm. You are welcome and encouraged to arrive any time from 6:30pm, so you have chance to socialise with other singers before the session starts.

We don't take a break in the middle of the session (a decision taken based on singer feedback).

We run in-person sessions on three nights each week:

  • Nottingham: Tuesdays

  • Lincoln: Wednesdays

  • Sheffield: Thursdays

We also run Zoom sessions on Monday evenings. These cover the same material as the in-person sessions from the previous week, and are recorded so they can be watched back afterwards instead/as well.

The Monday Zoom sessions are 6:45pm to 8pm for sopranos and tenors, and 8:15pm to 9:30pm for altos and basses.

Autumn 2022

6th September to 28th November

Taster sessions are available in the first two weeks of the season - booking in advance is compulsory. We also have an online "meet and greet" before the season starts, for people who have booked taster sessions - this is on Monday 5th September.

There will be a variety of performances at the end of the season, culminating in our "big concert" at Nottingham's Albert Hall on Sunday 18th December.

Spring 2023

31st January to 26th June (except for 3rd to 16th April, which is our Easter break)

Taster sessions will be available in the first two weeks of the season - booking for these will open towards the end of 2022. There will be an online "meet and greet" before the season starts.

There will be a number of performances, with the highlight being our "big concert" at The Octagon, Sheffield on Saturday 1st July.
