HOSTING: Sheffield End of Season Concert (Summer '26)

We would like to have a group of people that are happy to meet us outside the main entrance at 1pm and help us to unload equipment from the van into the Cathedral - this should only take 10 minutes so you'd be free to head off again afterwards until you're due back to sing.

Helping with seating

Whilst the Cathedral put the staging up, they expect us to lay the chairs out. There'll like be around 80-90 chairs to set out, some of which will be on raked seating. As Toni still won't be allowed to lift anything at this point, we'll be looking for 3-4 people to assist Toni in placing the chairs where they need to be. This is likely to be around 1:15-1:30 for around 30-45 minutes.

Ticket checking (Greeter)

Using a specific app on your mobile phone, you'll scan audience members' tickets when they arrive, and direct them towards the auditorium. You'll need to be welcoming, helpful, and reasonably confident with technology - plus willing to use your phone to do the scanning. Tim or Toni will be on hand most of the time, so if issues arise that you can't quickly resolve, you'll be able to hand over to us. You'll need to arrive a little earlier than the rest of the choir, so you're all set up before we open the doors to the audience. You'll be needed from 6:30 so we can be ready to let people in at 7pm.
